After the much-appreciated Anuraga Karikkinvellam, Khalid Rahman will be directing Mollywood’s Megastar, Mammootty in a film titled, Unda. It is his second directorial venture. The screenplay for the film will be penned by Harshad. Ronex Xavior will be the Creative Head of the film.
Khalid Rahman is the brother of Cinematographer Shaiju Khalid and his film Anuraga Karillinvellam, a lighthearted tale of romance and friendship between two generations was well-received among the malayalam audience.
Directed by Khalid Rahman, Unda will be bankrolled by Dharmik Production Company and Khalid Rahman’s brother Jimshi Khalid will work behind the camera in this Mammootty starrer.
The shooting of the big budget Mammootty film is expected to kick start this September. The main locations where the film will be shot is likely to be in Chattisgarh and Jharkhand. Jimshi Khalid shared a selfie with his brother Khalid Rahman on Instagram during their location hunt of the film.
The film will be a very different attempt in Mollywood. A genre Mollywood has never witnessed yet and we’ll get to see the Megastar in a totally different avatar which we haven’t seen yet. Currently the Megastar is busy with the production works of Mamankam.
