Yatra’s first look poster is out and the megastar Mammootty looks absolutely charming as Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. The versatile actor’s broad physique and tall frame match the appearance of the late leader of the Congress party.
Yatra, based on the life story of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhara Reddy will be written and directed by Mahi Raghav.
This movie will also mark the comeback of Mammootty in the Telugu industry after a two decade break.
Director Mahi shared with the media that he grew up watching Mammootty on screen and said that no actor other than Mammootty came up in his mind to potray the strong and courageous leader. He also added that the megastar’s screen presence and elegance lifts up a scene to a different level. The director also gave a hint that the Megastar himself will dub in his own voice in Telugu as well as Tamil.
Yatra will be dubbed in Telugu and Tamil but the director believes that the movie will surpass all language barriers as it is a universal film with the story of a leader who went on a journey for the betterment of his people.
Mammootty will join the sets of Yatra after the end of the 2nd schedule of his much awaited Magnum Opus, Mamankam. Yatra was started rolling on April 9 and the shooting will mainly taking place in Hyderabad and parts of Andhra Pradesh.
